At Bibi Fatima Society, we are committed to transparency in all our operations. This Shipping & Delivery Policy outlines our processes for delivering receipts, certificates, and any physical items to our donors and beneficiaries.
Please note that as a non-profit organization, most of our “deliveries” consist of digital communications, but we occasionally ship physical items for specific campaigns or to acknowledge significant contributions.
2. Digital Deliveries
For most donations and interactions, we provide digital deliverables:
- Donation receipts and tax exemption certificates are typically delivered via email within 7-10 business days
- Newsletters and updates are sent electronically on a monthly basis
- Event confirmations are sent via email immediately upon registration
- Digital certificates for volunteers are emailed within 14 days of project completion

3. Physical Item Shipping
For campaigns that involve physical items (such as thank-you gifts, merchandise, or program materials), we follow these shipping guidelines:
Processing Time
All physical items require processing time before shipment:
- Standard processing: 3-5 business days
- During peak seasons: 5-7 business days
- Custom items: 7-14 business days
Shipping Methods & Timeframes
We primarily ship within Jammu and Kashmir, with occasional shipments to other parts of India:
- Local (Srinagar & surrounding areas): 1-2 business days via local courier
- Within Jammu & Kashmir: 2-4 business days via standard courier
- Other parts of India: 5-10 business days via India Post or registered courier
Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are handled as follows:
- Donor acknowledgment gifts: Free shipping for donations above ₹5,000
- Merchandise purchases: Shipping charges apply based on actual costs
- Program materials for beneficiaries: Free shipping

5. Tracking Your Shipment
For physical shipments, we provide tracking information when available. You will receive an email with tracking details once your item has been dispatched.

6. International Shipping
Currently, we only ship physical items within India. For international donors, all receipts and certificates are delivered digitally.
7. Failed Deliveries
If a delivery attempt fails due to incorrect address, recipient not available, or other reasons:
- We will attempt contact using the provided phone number and email
- Items will be held at the local courier office for 7 days
- After multiple failed attempts, the item may be returned to us
- Re-shipping will incur additional charges
